Release emotions, find your creative expression, heal your soul, and increase the frequency of your environment
Art can be such a beautiful way to heal your soul. Art can be a form of healing in a couple of different ways, such as, creating art, and having art in your environment!
You can express yourself, and your feelings through a creative outlet! Creative outlets can look like anything from dancing, to singing, to crocheting, to candle making, to gardening, to baking, and so many more; including more commonly recognized creative outlets like painting and drawing. Through these creative outlets, you have the opportunity to heal from past experiences.

For example, my land-lord in college angered me, and I was so upset that I turned to my art. I grabbed a canvas and black paint and just started thrashing the paint across the canvas in circles. It got to the point where the whole canvas was almost black and I became aware and stopped myself, and went, “Okay, if I don’t calm down it’s just going to be fully black and dark.” I decided to take a deep breath and calm down and see how I could utilize my feelings in an effective and powerful way! The black on the canvas kind of looked like a big beehive; so I decided to paint some little bees flying around it. Then I added rainbows shooting over top and across the beehive. The concept behind it became, that even in crumby situations, there is always something to be happy about! I felt so much better completing the painting, and, well, I got a beautiful painting out of the situation.
Another situation was when my first love broke up with me; I was absolutely devastated! I painted a pink background on a canvas and I drew a broken heart in the middle (which I never usually draw on my canvases, I always free-hand). I then set the canvas aside in a cupboard for over a year because I was too upset to even look at it; plus, I had to go through some of my emotions first, a.k.a., a lot of tears! I finally picked the canvas up about a year later and was trying to figure out what to do with it. I remembered some paint chunks that I had saved from my palette. I decided to use the paint chunks to piece my heart back together! Very therapeutic!! I call the painting, “Love Every Moment.” Every experience you’ve had in your life has helped you get to where you are today. Love it all and be grateful for the “bad” and the good!
Having art on your wall can also help you through your healing journey! A piece of artwork can emanate so much colour and joy that it will truly put you into such a beautiful and high vibration!
When you pick out artwork for your wall, maybe pick a piece of artwork that resonates with your heart and soul, and truly makes you feel all the feels! If you’re going through a break-up, maybe pick a full hearted painting to remind yourself that your heart is full of love and when you’re ready, you will find your soulmate. If you’re going through the loss of a loved one, maybe pick a painting that will allow you to know that the person who passed is watching over you; or pick out something that reminds you of a happy memory you had with them! Whatever resonates with your heart to help you on your healing journey; is best for you to choose!
You can also choose art for your wall to help you heal from old beliefs and past thinking. Choose paintings with concepts that match the frequency of who you are striving to be, and where you are going. This will ultimately help the old beliefs to become obsolete and will bring you into a higher vibration to close the gap to your goals and to bring out the higher version of yourself!
All-in-all, art can be a beautiful form of healing, whether you are pouring your emotions into creating a piece of artwork, or have a piece of artwork on your wall to help you through your healing journey!
